David Barrentine	General	I remember driving by Davis tire company ( I believe that was the name) on Ross Clark circle and seeing the 1051 sitting on the tracks beside it. If I had known then that the H&S was going to go belly up I would have taken lot's of pictures back then. Nice picture, sad ending for a good locomotive.	5/13/2009 8:17:11 PM

Mike Woodruff	General	Believe the serial number entered for this loco contains an extra digit, it should be 4760, not 14760. Makes it ex-Southern 1051, nee-Southern 2260, built 7/47, with a frame number of E828-12.	10/27/2009 9:36:54 AM

H&S 1051
Hartford & Slocomb railroad. This unit later went to the Wiregrass Central and was eventually "put down" at Albany, Georgia in the late 90's.
